The Winnebago County Board awarded Ringland-Johnson Construction company the $100 million Winnebago County Jail construction management contract during its board meeting on May 8, 2003. The contract means Ringland-Johnson will oversee construction on the new jail, slated to break ground in fall of 2004 and be completed 2 1/2 years later.
